Las Vegas Event Photographer – Shooting Booths Inside

One of the most important things you will ever learn as a Las Vegas tradeshow photographer is this: photos were taken inside event booths simply do not look as good as those with natural light or with professional studio lighting. Another unfortunate fact of working as a photographer at a tradeshow is that there are all sorts of little factors that can affect your photos, such as a poor location or even too much foot traffic in the area. Unfortunately, all of these little problems can result in some mediocre results, even if you are an experienced Las Vegas photographer.

Thankfully, all is not completely lost. Let’s take a look at 3 ways you can help offset the problems experienced by Las Vegas tradeshow photographer while shooting at inside booths.

Show up early and test it out

This is especially key if your Las Vegas tradeshow photographer client is really set on getting great photos. You should show up early–a half an hour should do it–and test your shots to see what they look like. Then, you can experiment with different lighting settings and flashes in order to see what looks best as a Las Vegas photographer.

Be careful with your tripod

External flashes can be a great solution to the problems experienced by a Las Vegas tradeshow photographer–but they also pose a risk. If you are in a booth that will have a lot of foot traffic, you run the risk of your photographer equipment being bumped into or even knocked over. If you can’t find a safe spot for your tripod, you’ll need to move on to the next solution.

Use camera flash in a pinch

If there is simply nowhere to set up your tripod so that you can use your external flash for the event, then you’ll have to rely on the old Las Vegas tradeshow photographer standby: using your camera flash. It’s not ideal, and may not result in the best Las Vegas photographer photos, but it will have to do in a pinch!
