Getting in touch with a Las Vegas wedding photographer and making some sort of commitment with him or her ahead of time allows you to organize a photo shoot for the engagement session—an intimate moment that will certainly be fawned over in the years to come.  As they say, “A stitch in time saves nine.” The earlier you employ the services of a Las Vegas wedding photographer, the better for you. Waiting until the last second to turn in an essay is okay, but procrastinating on your wedding photos will result in a multitude of problems. We recommend you take your engagement photos 1 year or 6 months prior to your wedding date.

While 6 months-to-a-year may seem like a long time, it’s better to stay on top of your wedding plans. We were once contacted to do a shoot that required a bit of finagling on our part. Three months to the big day and three months since we had taken the initial engagement photos, the couple had come to us with a bunch of new ideas. Luckily for them, there was a large enough gap that allowed their new ideas to come to fruition.  While skill with a camera is crucial for capturing the perfect moments between you and your partner, it’s not the only necessity when hiring a Las Vegas wedding photographer.
