Las Vegas Photographer
Portraits, Events, and Conventions. Oh My!
Most of the time, people wonder what exactly they pay for when hiring a Las Vegas photographer. Is it the photographic skills or it goes beyond that? I would like to think it is more than that. But of course, some genre of photography does not leave any necessary room to interact with people other than the direct client we are working for.
The photography business can be very unforgiving for a newbie photographer. This is because the competition is stiff and in some cases, the rookie photography tends to look out for self-interest only. To have a productive relationship with clients, it is imperative that the photographer looks out for the interest of the client just as much as his/her own self-interest. After all, if a client is happy with the work done, there is a good chance the services of the photographer would be needed later in the future. Not to mention a growing reputation by word of mouth.
I like to think of myself as a helper. Rather than just another photographer who’s no more than an annoying salesperson. Whenever I happen to photograph for clients at tradeshows and conventions, I try to do my best with the camera – and do my best engaging potential clients who happen to show interest in something from our booth. Most conventions held are for marketing purposes and it does the client a lot of good if the photographer engages potential customers. To talk about photos pertaining a convention or trade show is to talk about the brand itself. Keeping potential customers interested in my client’s brand is part of the job of marketing through photography.
