Las Vegas Event Photographer – Bachelor and Bachelorette Parties

As a Las Vegas portrait photographer, you’re going to be attending lots of events that have a wild side to them. Bachelor and bachelorette parties are very popular choices for clients looking for Las Vegas photographer services, as everyone wants to remember a night of drinking, dancing and overall fun with their friends and wedding party. If you’ve ever attended these events as a layperson, you probably already know that they can get a bit out of hand. And when you’re working at a bachelor or bachelorette party as a Las Vegas portrait photographer, it can be tempting to join in on the fun—especially if the future bride, groom or their guests are encouraging you to partake in some drinks, shots, or a mixture of the two.

Buzzkill moment incoming: it is very unprofessional to drink on the job as a photographer, and while it may be tempting to take a shot with the party guests who are cheering or egging you on, you simply can’t do it. It’s not only unprofessional, but it will also hamper your ability to get your Las Vegas portrait photography work done properly. You may be liable to drop equipment if you get tipsy or you simply won’t be in a clear frame of mind to take great photos. And your client will definitely not take “got a little drunk” as an excuse as to why their photos are sub-par.

So, as tempting as it may be, always keep a clear—and sober—head while working at a bachelor and bachelorette party. This doesn’t mean you can’t have fun, however; there are lots of ways you can be fun and even a bit wild while working as a Las Vegas portrait photographer, as long as you know what boundaries you shouldn’t cross. If the atmosphere is right, you can banter with the guests, maybe do some on-the-spot dancing while setting things up, and encourage guests to have more fun by suggesting silly poses and situations to photograph.

A final word: If you’re going to be working as a Las Vegas portrait photographer, make sure you know how to loosen up and have fun with these types of events! Clients at bachelor and bachelorette parties don’t want a stiff photographer, they want someone who knows how to smile, crack jokes, and blend in with their crowd.
