Las Vegas Photographer – Dress Like You Belong

Corporate events are never quite alike, and one of the most distinguishing things you’ll quickly notice as a Las Vegas portrait photographer is that every corporate event has a different dress code. Some events have formal dress codes that require formal wear such as suits and ties; others are business casual, and a select few may even be casual enough for guests to wear their everyday clothes.

As a photographer, it’s important to keep one thing in mind when working on any event: dress as you belong! Even though you are there to work as a Las Vegas portrait photographer, you don’t want to stand out like a sore thumb. This will not only be distracting for guests but will be seen as unprofessional by your corporate client. As a Las Vegas photographer, you need to know how to dress for the occasion and ensure that your clothing suits the event you’re attending while also being comfortable and practical to wear.

Once you have worked any Las Vegas portrait photographer job at a corporate event, you’ll already know that one of the pitfalls—if you’ll excuse the pun—of working them is the potential for lots of sweating. No one wants to see pit stains on a Las Vegas photographer, which is why it’s recommended that your clothing for events be as dark as possible. (And don’t forget deodorant!) You should also look for clothing that has breathable material, which will cut down on sweating and generally be more comfortable to wear for longer periods of time.

For our Las Vegas portrait photographer services, we wear a company uniform that includes black slacks—aka Lululemon pants that are much more comfortable than their appearance suggests—with a black polo shirt. This uniform fits into that “just right” category for both formal and business casual events since we appear professional without looking too relaxed or too much like a guest.

Remember: keep your clothing as a Las Vegas portrait photographer on the job dark, breathable, professional, and don’t forget to dress like you belong!
